The Indian cricket team has approved a two-week quarantine to save the Australian tour.

The top BCCI official said that India cricket team is ready to be quarantined on the Australian tour. Along with this, he also said that the possibility of having the ICC T20 World Cup this year seems unlikely.

Under the leadership of Virat Kohli, the Indian team has to go on Australian tour at the end of the year for a series of four Test matches,But the team will have to remain in isolation for two weeks before playing this series of matches.

BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal said that the Indian Test team is ready to be in isolation to save the series.

Virat’s passion to run and passion different from Steve: Warner

Dhumal told the Australian newspaper, “There is no other option … The Indian team will have to stay in the quarantine.

If you have to start cricket again, you have to do it. Two weeks is not as long as lockdown. ”

In the ICC Test rankings, Australia has overtaken India to take the first place. At the same time, the Indian team has now reached number three in the rankings.

The series will make millions of dollars for the host country struggling during the Coronavirus shutdown.

How important is the revival of Cricket Australia’s series, it can be gauged from this that it has also proposed to add the fifth Test.

Playing five Tests with India would mean Australia skip a Test match with Afghanistan in November.

On this, Arun Dhumal said that it would be too early to say about extending the series. He indicated that it would be better to play more limited cricket, as it could lead to more income.

He said, “He wants revenue and the revenue comes from ODIs and T20s more than the test.

Dhumal said, however, it would be easier for the Australian government to allow the Indian team to enter the country for a bilateral series but having the T20 World Cup with teams from 16 countries is a different issue.

He also questioned whether the elite players would be ready for this big tournament to be held in October.

He asked, “The players have been away from cricket for a long time. Will you let the players down to play directly in the World Cup without any training. It will be every board’s own decision, but it is very difficult. ”
