“Cricket is a New Zealand summer game. It starts in October and ends in April. I don’t know but the IPL which is to be played in October, November is what makes New Zealand cricket. There has to be a balance in the schedule of domestic cricket. ”

On how New Zealand cricket will coordinate it, Sodhi said,

“For the last few years, the New Zealand Cricket Board has left a lot of free time for the IPL. Then the thing is that you want the best players to play in domestic cricket and you also want players to play in Indian Premier League because it is one of the best T20 leagues in the world. ”

Australia-New Zealand are planning to restart cricket soon amidst Coronavirus

In the IPL, Six New Zealand biggies play for Jimmy Neesham (Kings XI Punjab), Lockie Ferguson (Kolkata Knight Riders), Mitchell McClenaghan and Trent Boult (Mumbai Indians), Kane Williamson (Sunrisers Hyderabad), Mitchell Santner (Chennai Super Kings) .

Ish Sodhi is a spin bowling consultant for Rajasthan Royals, while Mike Hussen(Director of RCB), Stephen Fleming (Coach of Chennai), Shane Bond and Brandon McCullum (Coach of Kolkata Knight Riders) with different teams as Coach, Mentor and Consultant are working.
