Lara was only 25 years old when he smashed 375 against England at the St. John’s ground in the West Indies. His record was broken by Matthew Hayden about 10 years later. This record was demolished by the Australian opener with 380 runs against Zimbabwe.

Brian Lara’s highest score in ODIs is 169 runs

In 1995, Lara went to play ODI against Sri Lanka in Sharjah. There he hit 169 runs against the Opponent. Lara’s West Indies scored a mammoth 334 in front of Sri Lanka.

Brian Lara has also hit an unbeaten 500 runs in an innings

Brian Lara’s hunger for runs was such that he did not even name the disappearance. Once he was set on the pitch. On 6 June 1994, in a first class match, Lara played for Warwickshire with an innings of 501 runs during which he was not dismissed until the end.
