BCCI unhappy with Shardul Thakur starting outdoor training without Permission

Indian cricket team pacer Shardul Thakur became the first Indian cricketer to start outdoor training in Mumbai on Saturday.

Amid the coronavirus epidemic after the government had allowed to start personal training in the fourth phase of lockdown, he is the first cricketer to come out.

Shardul Thakur is now in the limelight with this training as the BCCI contracted players need to get board approval before starting outdoor training.

The BCCI official told IANS that it was unfortunate that Shardul decided to start training without getting approval from the board.

The official said that he has not been allowed because he is a contracted player,Unfortunately he did, which he should not have done.

Apart from Shardul, the Indian team captain Virat Kohli, vice-captain Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer are also present in Mumbai.

These cricketers haven’t decided to start outdoor training, as they are currently at home and haven’t touched any sports complex yet.

Shardul is a BCCI contracted player and he is a part of Grade-C in the current contract list.

More importantly, he has trained in a city which is currently most vulnerable to the coronavirus in the country.

Sources on the board said that Shardul has started training in Palghar district, which is not in the Red Zone.

Despite this, his move is not correct as he has not taken approval from BCCI for this.

Reports released in the media said that Shardul practiced at the Palghar Dahanu Taluka Sports Association in Boisar.
